Dear Rocky Point Families,
As the familiar saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, and the individuals who work within our school system play an integral part in nurturing today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders. In honor of the countless hours they devote to our community, the district is proud to join others across the region and nation this week in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, National Nurses Week and the Employee Appreciation program of our bus company, First Student.
These dedicated and professional individuals, who work in collaboration with our district’s entire staff, provide an invaluable service to the children of Rocky Point, as they are stewards of education and on the front line of ensuring the safety, well-being and growth of our students on a daily basis. I would like to invite our entire community to join in this week’s celebrations by taking time to say an extra thank-you to those who are being recognized this week as well as to all of our exceptional school staff.
From those who have spent their decades-long careers in the district to the members of our contracted service team from First Student, I extend my sincere appreciation for their tireless work, service to our community and utmost professionalism.
Sincerely,
Michael F. Ring, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
