Rocky Point High School’s cosmetology program garnered top honors at this year’s SkillsUSA regional competition, with Sophia Cianciulli taking home second place in the junior division.
Eight students represented the district at the contest in three categories: senior, junior and basic. Brianna Landisi and Cristina Rodriguez competed in the senior division, Thomas Baxter and Cianciulli in the junior division, and Breanna Schneider was entered in the basic category. Kevin Keenan, Alexus Farneti and Allyson Wojnowski also joined the team as the school’s SkillsUSA club representatives.
