It was a day of commemoration as Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School fifth graders celebrated their academic accomplishments during the school’s annual Moving-Up ceremony. Family and friends watched as each student received a certificate and joined their classmates on the bleachers for a class photo with the faculty.
JAE Principal Linda Towlen thanked the parents for their contributions to the students’ education. The atmosphere was punctuated with music performed by the High Notes Select chorus, under the direction of conductor Craig Knapp. Teacher Mark Yashowitz recognized members of the student council for their participation in community service projects throughout the school year and Tech Integration Specialist Laurie Varriale recognized the accomplishments of the JAE Technology Club members.
Congratulations to all our fifth grade students!
