Rocky Point High School music students (brass ensemble) under the direction of Amy Schecher performed at the Sound Beach Memorial Day service held on Monday, May 26. The service was held at the Sound Beach Veterans Memorial Park and presented by the Sound Beach Civic Association.
The ceremony began at noon and was attended by various groups in the community. Participants included local veterans and their family members, students from Miller Place and Rocky Point High School Music Departments, local boy scouts and girl scouts, the Sound Beach Fire Department, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Ring, and numerous local elected officials.
