Rocky Point Middle School students and staff participated in a spirited contest to benefit their school community. Between September and February, the school collected close to 10,000 box tops. Greg Havranek’s homeroom won the championship with almost 3,000 tops.
The box tops provide funds through the PTA for the schools to purchase items outside of the general budget. In the past, the initiative has provided the funds to purchase outdoor lunch tables and umbrellas for the courtyard at the middle school.
