Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School students were treated to an interactive performance and writing experience when singer, songwriter and author Rick Charette visited in May.
All grade levels enjoyed two engaging assemblies featuring Mr. Charette’s famous songs and stories, including “Alligator in the Elevator” and “I Love Mud.” Additionally, three classes were selected to collaborate with the performer to co-write a new song. The first- and second-graders utilized their classroom English language arts and creative writing skills to help pen a song about a flying robin. The class performed the song alongside Mr. Charette during one of the in-school concerts.
The program, which also included a special evening concert for families, was provided courtesy of the building’s PTA.
