The melodic songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein resounded off the auditorium walls as Rocky Point High School’s talented student-actors and musicians performed “Carousel” this March.
Attendees were entertained as the cast comically and enthusiastically told the story of traveling carnival man Billy (junior Thomas Loomis) and his love, local factory worker Julie (senior Erin Damers). A colorful cast of characters provided supportive storylines throughout the production and kept audiences engaged during the two-act show.
The students rehearsed for months under the guidance of dramatic and vocal director Mary Donovan Cerasuola and orchestra director Amy Schecher to ensure this year’s production was a show-stopping hit.
